What?
Prismatic Arts Ensemble's Season Opening Soirée
When?
Monday, September 29th, from 7-10pm
Join Prismatic Arts Ensemble for a cocktail party to celebrate the start of our new season and to show your support for queer classical music in Philadelphia!
Part fundraiser and part cabaret, the evening will feature performances from our co-founders, Matthew Maisano and Marcelle McGuirk. They'll be singing musical selections from and inspired by our upcoming shows, including opera arias, musical theatre songs, and more!
In addition to the live music, there will be light snacks, raffle prizes, and audience participation games (we dare you to let your inner drag queen loose and try lip syncing to famous opera arias 😈).
All beverages (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) can be ordered a la carte from our hosts, BeerLOVE (unless your admission includes a drink ticket 🍹).
🎟️ Seats are limited, so snag your tickets today!

Who are Prismatic's Co-founders?
Our co-founders are Matthew Maisano (also known as the drag queen Balena Canto) and Marcelle McGuirk (also known as the Best of Philly™️ draglesque artist Violet Caballero). Both Matthew and Marcelle are trained opera singers and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and are committed to creating classical music spaces that are welcoming and affirming for queer folks- artists and audience members, alike.
Is there parking available?
There is street parking available, though the neighborhood is a busy one and finding parking can sometimes be difficult, so we recommend using public transit or ridesharing if that's an option for you.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There is a ramp to the front door and the bathroom is ADA compliant. Please note that the seating in the venue is barstools without backs. If you would like to request another seating option, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your request to the best of our ability. We can be reached at prismaticensemble@gmail.com
I'd like to support Prismatic's mission, but can't attend on the 29th. Are there other ways to financially support your work?
Absolutely and thank you! You can always make a donation through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas.
Prismatic Arts Ensemble is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Prismatic Arts Ensemble must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
